Architect by the European University of Madrid, university professor, director of FABLAB UE (advanced digital fabrication), researcher in wood constructions and responsible for the annual festival of Architecture, Art, Design and Engineering ¨HANDSTHINKING¨.
On his own account he founded Gonzalez Serrano Studio + (Madrid) in 2023, from where he works on projects of all scales, integrating the constructive possibilities of the new digital fabrication technologies with the traditional knowledge of the raw material, betting on a responsible architecture with the environment, its inhabitants, the resources and responding to the different forms of future life through technology and the careful design of the spaces.
Álvaro González Serrano. Architect by the European University of Madrid (Spain) / Coventry University (England), he gained experience working as a researcher and architect in prestigious international studios both in Madrid (Spain) (GilBartolomé Architects) and Rotterdam (Holland) (7478 Architects + OMA), having received numerous first prizes in various competitions, and as an expert in digital fabrication. In 2025 he was recognised as the Most Influential Architech 35 Under 35 MWCC.
In parallel, Álvaro has been part of the international expert architect committee for the selection of masterplanning projects in Seoul, South Korea.
Álvaro González Serrano is a member of the Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) with the number 24.764.
The studio is currently working on international projects; renovation, new construction and ephemeral architecture projects.
